airborne over this prettiest of natural tapestry is such a thrill
that the heart stopping mad sports that you can do here just add
to your pant-wetting experience.
Fancy
being Tom Cruise, then how about climbing into a military jet that
zips along the coastline at the speed of sound. Or how about falling
out of a plane from 10,000 feet, to skydive over beaches and mountain
ranges. For a slower descent there is paragliding, hang-gliding
or micro-lights that will have the wind blowing away any hang-over
in an instant. Those who much prefer to not have their hair styles
rearranged can opt for incredible helicopter flights or hot air
balloons gently floating over vineyards and spectacular scenery.
2) Land and Water thrill seekers.
Abseiling, mountain & rock climbing, bungee jump at
the worlds highest drop, bridge swings, tree top canopy tours, potholing,
quad biking, 4x4 trails, 100’s of golf courses, motor sports,
running, cycling and hosts to many international sporting events
including rugby, cricket and not forgetting the Football World Cup
in 2010. All these will set the blood pressure racing, but the amount
of water based pursuits is equally vast that it would take you years
to accomplish them all – boogie boarding, kite surfing, wind
surfing, surf boarding, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving over reefs
and wrecks, power boating, spearfishing, kloofing, all manner of
fishing at sea, rivers, lagoons & beaches, white water rafting
and water skiing to mention just a few.
3) Great White Shark cage diving & Whale watching.
Hermanus in South Africa is world famous for 2 major reasons.
Firstly, it is one of the top 5 locations on the planet to view
whales close up. There are over 9 million avid whale watchers worldwide,
according to Greenpeace. Secondly, Hermanus is one of only two places
in the whole world where you can cage dive with the monster predators
of the sea and top of the food chain – the Great White Shark.
The
Great White Shark cage diving operators are all very strictly governed
and extremely safe, with no tourist injury over the 20 years that
they have been running. Plus you will be joining an extremely elite
group of famous stars too! Prince Harry, Brad Pitt, Michael Schumacher,
Cameron Diaz & Justin Timberlake, Jamiroquai, Sting, Nicholas
Cage (who even filmed a Hollywood movie here), Steffi Graf, just
to mention a few, have all chosen to take this awesome plunge.
The daily price per person is totally tailor-made to suit individual budgets.

Accommodation prices therefore range hugely between R80 (£7) right up to and above R12000 (£1000) per night.
Therefore daily average expenditure will vastly vary, depending upon which activities and accommodation you opt for.
