OPTION 1 – Eco-Marine safari boat trips -
From - 1st DECEMBER, 2024 ....to.... 31st May, 2025 Boat is launching from Kleinbaai (60mins from Hermanus) Boat departs from another harbour situated 60mins around the bay from Hermanus (2hours and 45mins from Cape Town) and is called their “Marine Big 5 tour” where you might see Dolphin, Bryde's Whale, plus you also circle the Shark Diving boats to hopefully see Sharks and will then visit Dyer Island where there are 65,000 Cape Fur Seals, plus loads of different sea birds including African Penguins, Skua, and maybe Albatross – trips depart at 10.00am – weather permitting a second trip might launch at – 13.00pm – meeting time and trip time may vary daily according to tide and weather conditions. Meeting time of – 09.30am for a 10.00am launch – and – 12.30pm for a 13.00pm launch – 2hrs trips Sun-downer trips – meeting time between – 14.00pm to 16.00pm – boat to confirm 2 days prior Danger Point is where we still stand a chance of spotting Humpback and Bryde Whales, which have been very active this year in that area, as well as, Dolphins, Cape Fur Seals and Penguins Marine Big 5 Sea Safari = R1275 per adult / R637.50 per kid under 12yrs / under 5yrs go for free Private Charter = R23,500 OPTION 3 – Kayaking from Hermanus
Kayaking – Available ALL year long Kayaking in the bay - launching from Hermanus - is a gentle paddle for 2 hours to explore our coastline from the sea in stable ocean Kayaks. Each Kayak can take 2 persons and is a lovely way to encounter Seals, Penguins, birdlife and hopefully pods of Dolphin, with the incredibly pretty back-drop of our high mountain ranges lovely scenery surrounding you. Kayaks MUST be over 300metres away from Whales. Your Kayaking Tour Guide will give you a quick 10mins briefing, while you strap on a life-jacket, grab a paddle and will escort you out to sea, hugging the coastline. Please wear flip-flops and clothes that you don't mind getting slightly wet below your waistline and only bring small compact cameras that you can easily and quickly stow-away. Minimum age is - 10 yrs old, as you need body weight and upper body strength to propel yourself along. Maximum group size is 17 persons. Weather and ocean conditions permitting. Trips go our 3 times per day - 08.00 or 09.00am / 10.30 or 11.30am / 13.00 or 14.00pm - with the early morning trips usually being the best weather / wave conditions. Great White & Copper Shark trips – Available ALL year long
Gansbaai, near Hermanus, is THE place on the planet to do Great White & Copper Shark cage diving / surface viewing trips; which is an utterly incredible experience that ALL the family can do – we have known 8 year old kids & 92 year old Grandmas to jump into the cage. We are also viewing lots of amazing Copper Shark / Bronze Whaler Shark, these are extremely active & go around in big groups of 5 to 30 individual sharks, its amazing to see and full-on action.
Viewing of Great White Shark is not guaranteed, as this is nature - Copper Sharks are certainly here
Boats conduct tours ALL year long – usual meeting times will be -

This is a 3/4 to full day activity, including your travelling time.
There is NO need for scuba or snorkeling experience as it is all surface viewing and novices are very welcome. You pop on a wet suit, pop on a mask and jump into the cage, which is 3 metres high; 2 metres under water and 1 metre above it. When a shark approaches, all you do is hold your breath and duck-down into the lower section of the submerged cage.
Resurfacing obviously to get another lung full of air – while probably screaming your lungs-out with excitement. Each cage holds up to 6 people in one go. You will be at sea for 3 to 4 hours.
You get included in the price – a light breakfast of coffee, tea, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurts etc; cold drinks and light snacks on board and then return to land for hot soup and munchies afterwards.
Professional DVD cameraman is also on board to capture all the action, maybe under water footage too. DVDs are = R350
We deal with all the boats and prices vary from – R2800 per person – to – R3455 per person – (Special offers occasionally)
some boats allow kids of all ages, while some don't (providing Baby-Sitters on land while you are out on the ocean) – some offer kids discounts and some don't..... Please contact us to discuss this with you, thanks

Conducted along the very pretty Stanford River (20 minutes from Hermanus) with fabulous views of the mountains and bird-watching of loads of different bird species to watch – in summer feel free to jump into the river for a refreshing swim – Trips are for 2 hours and can launch at any time that you desire (during day light hours) – they supply the boat, braai and wood – you bring your own food, drinks, cutlery and crockery. Cruises are completely self catered. Trips will have mixed groups – or – can be Privately Chartered.

Fishing trips to the reefs of Hermanus - Available ALL year long BOAT #1 Leave Hermanus harbour at about 08.00am in a fishing boat to do Reef fishing in Walker Bay, getting back to land at about 12noon/1pm-ish, all gear is supplied, all that you catch you can take back to land and braai if you so desire. Price is = R1,800 per person. Minimum of 3 person - Maximum of 6 persons per trip - small groups can be mixed. - All trips are weather permitting; cancellation can occur with little prior notice if necessary. Notification of any cancellations will be made by telephone.
- Should the trip not take place due to sea conditions, a full refund of the ticket price will be given / no payment required.
- These tours have a minimum number of passenger’s requirement. Should the minimum requirements for the trip to commence not be met, you will be notified the day prior to your tour of cancellation or rescheduling as per cruise schedule.
- Late clients and ‘no shows’ will not be refunded.
- Cancellations received less than 3 days before trip departure - 100% cancellation fee will be charged
- In the event of unforeseeable circumstances policies can be amended at the discretion of the boat/s
